Varun R. Sekar, Founder and Managing Director

Varun Sekar brings a rare intersection of technology, construction, and investment expertise to real estate development. As Director of Product at Bill.com, he led the creation of AI-driven fintech products that facilitated billions in B2B payment volume. Previously, at global engineering leader GHD, he advised on large-scale infrastructure projects across the US, EMEA, and Asia—driving performance through data-led strategies.

Varun holds an MBA from Cornell University, an Ivy League institution where he specialized in Real Estate. He also earned an MS in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) from Virginia Tech and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. At Tangent, he merges global execution standards with deep operational insight to shape the future of real estate—starting from the ground up.
